Cycle + daily context

Your cycle.
More of the picture.

Keep your period, flow, symptoms, mood, pain and notes in a local cycle journal. Separately, cycle insights can compare available Apple Health records, including sleeping wrist-temperature trends.

A record you choose to keep.

Add period dates, flow and notes. Optionally import existing Apple Health menstrual-flow records without changing those Health records. The local cycle journal is not automatically shared with Beto.

Temperature is one signal.

Cycle insights can show available sleeping wrist-temperature, resting heart-rate and HRV records. Wrist temperature is not a direct reading of core body temperature, and the availability of these records depends on your device and recording coverage.

Calendar estimates, explained.

Better uses recorded cycle intervals or the usual length you explicitly confirm to estimate a date range. Variable history and selected life-stage or hormonal contexts can pause estimates. Calendar phase and ovulation estimates do not confirm ovulation from temperature.

Use the local journal for your period and daily experience. The separate Health-based comparison view uses available Health records; manual journal entries do not automatically become inputs to that model.

A few good questions

Does Better predict fertility or confirm ovulation?

No. Better’s cycle dates are wellness estimates, not verified ovulation or fertility measurements. Do not use them for birth control, diagnosis or medical decisions.

Why might a temperature record be missing?

Temperature records need a compatible device and the required sleep settings. Apple notes that enough overnight records are needed to establish a baseline, and other factors can affect the data.

What the signals can tell you

Wearable patterns add context; they do not confirm ovulation or prove a more accurate period date. Wrist, body and basal temperature are distinct measurements. Supported Apple Watch models and other compatible devices differ in what they record. Missing measurements are not invented.
